Now we deploy on iOS, Android and web

One of the biggest asks we’ve had from existing customers has been this:

Will you build our web app?

Well, after we were asked the same question a few dozen times we realized that we’d uncovered a real need.

When people are building software, it’s critical that it deploys across several different platforms and is able to meet people where they are— cell phone and laptop alike.

From a technical perspective, not a lot has changed. We’re still deploying native mobile apps (Objective-C and Java), our editor/dashboard is still built in PHP on Laravel, and our MySQL database and JSON data structures haven’t changed much either. We’re basically building web apps (also PHP on Laravel) that we connect to the same backend as our mobile apps.

We learned something awesome by doing this: Launching new UIs on our backend (whether web or eventually VR, chatbots, Alexa, you name it!) doesn’t require us to build all new tech. Sure, we’ll have to change things up, but the core of Hatch remains the same. So, in the future, we can launch on new platforms and broaden our capabilities dramatically. It won’t be easy, but it’s far from impossible. One day, Hatch could help people launch software across dozens of platforms quickly and affordably.

Future of Hatch

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves: Today, we’re helping our customers build awesome, high-quality software for iOS, Android and web. Sound cool to you? Well we’re hiring
